Encaustic painting selected for book cover
I was recently contacted by an old friend, author and artist Mike O'Connell. Mike was completing his latest sci-fi title and was looking for artwork for the cover. I was particularly flattered when he said I had a piece that was "perfect" for the task. The piece he selected is Peacock Nebula, an encaustic and mixed media piece from the Celestial Visions series. The original is 12x12 and is still available.
Fast-forward to today - I received a copy of The Future of Forever last week and shot a studio photo today, with the painting, so you could see the result too. I think it looks great and am thrilled to have my piece printed on the cover of Mike's newest novel.
In case you want to read the book, it's available online from Barnes & Noble.
Great job Mike - I think it looks wonderful!
